Welcome to HISGRAD. This is a private list for SHSU History graduate students only. No faculty members will have access to it. Jerrod Johnson, a History Department on-campus graduate student and Teaching Assistant, is the list administrator and responsible for helping with any trouble you may have managing your list subscription, editing your mailing options, etc. There is no editor on this list. Any message you send to HISGRAD@SHSU.EDU as a subscribed member immediately goes out to the entire list membership. With this in mind, as viewers and authors, you acknowledge that all posts made to this listserv express the views and opinions of the author only, and not the University. Please remember that all postings should adhere to the Sam Houston State University Student Code of Conduct, Acceptable Use Policy, and Security and Privacy Policy. Your subscription to HISGRAD@SHSU.EDU indicates that you agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented messages or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned from the list. You agree that the SHSU History Department Chairman has the right to remove you from the list for violating any of these conditions. Also, we strongly discourage you from posting messages with attachments. If you do, please run a virus check on each attachment before sending it, and all viewers should do the same before opening the message. Using Histgrad
To post a message to all the list members, send email to histgrad@shsu.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Histgrad
Subscribe to Histgrad by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
