What has happened is the domain shacs.org has expired and been released to
the world.  A registrar company has snatched it up (looks just a few weeks
ago-- probably when the domain was just officially released).

Before a domain expires, typically the registrar will email the domain owner
60, 30 and a few days prior to expiration, prompting him to renew the
domain.  When a domain does expire, however, it still takes (someone correct
me) I think another 30 or so days before it's released to the public and
"deactivated."

When I registered it, I did it on my credit card as shacs president.
Shortly thereafter, Dr Burris picked up the tab and, I assume, kept it up
(or registered it several years in advance).  It's quite possible that my
email still remained as domain contact, and of course, since I'm an old
fart, my email is no longer active at shsu.  Ergo, there ya go.

However, even though another company is now sitting on it, I seriously doubt
they have use for it.  I would just have someone from the group contact them
(or, baby them along yet again and do all the footwork for them ;)) and say,
"Hey, this is a school's student organization.  Can we have our cool name
back?"  That would, incidentally, also possibly relieve shacs of its
obligations of kyle's propagandist PFCSSGHA credit clause.
