Job Title: Programmer at Wal-Mart, Bentonville, AR
Description: This entry-level position is designed to educate and prepare
individuals to take on the responsibility of a Programmer. Incumbents will
participate in an eight week rotation in one of the divisional support areas
Field Support, Unix Operations, Global Communication Services or
(EDI-Retail Link) and spend a one week rotation in a Wal-Mart Store,
Sam's Club or Distribution Center. At the completion of the support and
Store/Club/DC rotations, incumbents will then be placed onto a development
team. On the development team, under the direct supervision of more senior
programmers, code, test and debug simple programs. Work closely with the
mentor and manager of the team to ensure that are sufficiently developing to
meet the minimal requirements of a Programmer.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science,
Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer
Engineering or a computer programming related degree, with a 3.0 GPA.
* Ability to program in more than one programming language
* Demonstrate high ability in assigned technical assessments.
* Provide a completed application, resume and transcript.
* Interview with a member of the Wal-Mart ISD Recruiting or Management Team
