I'm sorry.. I do have to hit upon this one point of contention:

Doesn't that mean "if my recipient is on a Mac?"
I still find it frustrating on a PC to watch a QT .mov movie. I keep my
work PC up-to-date with the latest flavor of QT player, but who has time at
home for that mega-meg download? Apple's own site uses something that
wouldn't play for me at home:
http://www.apple.com/getamac/awesome.html
Side note: You would think that Apple of all people would understand that if
someone is looking at that page in particular that they are not a mac user
and that they possibly might even be looking to replace their aging windows
machine-- might not even have any QT let alone the latest.

I am more convinced following these msg's, some conversations, and my own
research over the weekend that mac is the way to go for me. I just hope I
won't become numb to the behind-the-scenes or ignore the target market in my
new platform.. :)

For the record, I used to love PC b/c it didn't tell me what I needed to do
or how to go about doing it-- it was black and white DOS, and I could have
ultimate control. Now, however, since XP and I imagine even more so with
Vista, I just don't get that feeling-- if my o/s is going to shield me from
the details of implementation, I want it done by a company who knows how to
do it well.
