Yeah webmin would work, but it can also be exploited by having a
webserver running even locally. It adds another security risk to the
system and I generally do not recommend that for public facing systems.
Usually DNS in Linux and Windows is just done the old text editor way.
Most Linux admins write themselves a perl or bash script to take care of
it. When I had to manage Linux DNS I just sat down for a few days and
wrote a perl script that would add, delete, or modify my entries and HUP
the services. If he is not a programmer/scriptor he may try to look
around the web (google etc...) for a script that will help make all the
changes. You are right though vi and DNS can become time consuming.
