    PS-1: Senior Developer/Software Engineer

StataCorp is seeking an experienced C/C++ developer to work on our 
flagship product, Stata. Stata is used by thousands of researchers of 
all disciplines and has complete statistical, graphical, and 
data-management capabilities <http://www.stata.com/info/capabilities/>. 
This is a senior-level position on our development staff.

This is an opportunity to develop end-user applications for use under 
Windows, Unix (including Linux), and Macintosh. For more than twenty 
years, StataCorp has been one of the leading statistical software 
producers in the world.

The candidate must have 3+ years industry experience programming in C.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

    * bachelor's degree in computer science or another related field
    * GUI development utilizing the Win32 SDK
    * graphics development
    * development in a Unix environment
    * X Windows programming
    * development of portable code for use in a multiplatform code base
    * sockets programming under Unix or Windows

Starting wage is commensurate with skills. Stata is a rapidly growing
