Valtech is a global business and IT consultancy group that specializes in

Valtech North America specializes in custom software application
development using object oriented languages (Java/J2EE, C#/.NET) and Agile

In short, we develop software for our clients in our development centers
and also deliver Agile based training and mentoring services to Fortune
500 clients.  We are expanding right now and the opportunity for growth is
high.  We are hoping to hire approximately 12-15 recent CS college
graduates to start in time to participate in our Summer bootcamp (see
below)

We have a bootcamp (SW Engineering Entry level training) scheduled to
begin June 2, 2008.  We strongly believe our program for recent college
graduates is the ranked extremely high throughout the industry.    The
boot camp is not just technical training, but also comprehensive,
experiential based training for working in a technical consulting role.
The training provides our new employees with the tools to produce
quality, Object Oriented software as well as specifics for working
directly with our client teams.  The Agile methodology training
delivered prepares our SW Engineers to understand the development
process Valtech subscribes to and insures the new hire has the tools
necessary to become a confident and solid contributor on the technical
projects they will be assigned to.  After the class is completed they will
be assigned a career coach who will be responsible for providing them
mentorship at a technical and professional level.

New Graduate Job Description:

A Consultant/Software Developer is an integral part of a project
delivery team and typically works with a team of consultants building and
delivering a software solution. The Consultant should be comfortable
performing work under the direction and guidance of a Senior Consultant or
Principal Consultant. The Consultant is expected to work well with other
team members, both internal and client staff, and communicate problems or
issues related to the project as soon as they are
discovered. Extensive training in Object Oriented software development,
consulting, and Agile methods will be provided to each new hire. From
there the Consultant will be paired with a Senior Consultant to mentor
them regarding project and technology-related issues.

Required skills:

*	Candidates should have exposure to the following technologies:
*	Java, C++, or C#
*	Object Oriented Concepts
*	Distributed Computing

Ideal Candidates also:

*	have experience in J2EE
*	have exposure to .NET
*	have exposure to iterative development life cycles (ideally
Unified Process and Agile Methods)
*	have a willingness to travel

 Position Description:

*	Creatively applies knowledge to perform design in accordance
with Valtech/customer's process, satisfying customer's needs, satisfying
design constraints, and meeting project schedules.
*	Documents work clearly and effectively using standards defined
on the project.
*	Performs implementation in accordance with project's standards,
meeting project schedule, and containing few defects.
*	Applies high standards of quality to work completed.
*	Is highly productive and performs well under pressure.
*	Familiar with several development tools and technologies.
*	Has sufficient working knowledge of the project domain.
*	Learns quickly and adapts easily to new challenges.

We are currently interested in hiring students who are graduating in May
2008 and December 2008 who are legally eligible to work in the United
States.
