Dr. and Mrs. Burris are having a party for SHACS, CS, DF, and IA majors to kick off the school year Saturday September 6th at the Burris abode from 5:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.  Dress appropriately for an outside picnic type setting.  We will have tables set up for cards, dominos, etceteras.  Feel free to bring you own games.  Croquet will be available for those with enough sense not to injure their bodies.  If you know who injures himself again we may have to restrict future participation or cancel the event.  Please, lawn darts, are not a form of "pin the tail on the donkey!"  Bring your spouse, date, and children.  If you get lost call my house 936-295-8062.

We have tentatively selected December 13 for the Christmas party.

Directions to the Burris house at 3357 Pine Grove Drive :
>From the university, travel West out of town on FM 1374 crossing IH45.  You will pass the Dairy Queen on your left (SHSU side of the highway) as you cross the interstate.  You will pass Region VI Educational Service Center, on your right about ¼ mile from the interstate.  Approximately 1-1/2 miles down FM 1374 you will pass the entrance to Spring Lake Subdivision on the left, a house, and a white frame church.  The first road to the left after the church is the entrance to Pine Shadows Subdivision.  The road makes an "L" to the right after entering the subdivision.  Take the first left after making the "L" on Pine Grove Drive.  The Burris abode is the last house on the left at the bottom of the hill.   Phone: 936-295-8062
