Two IT programming positions now open at Brazos County.  I don't work there
anymore, but one of these is piquing my interest to return...

  Title: Programmer Analyst I  Department: Information Technology  Type: Full
Time  Details: Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field
or equivalent experience.  Preferred  skills:  experience  programming  in a
Unix/Windows  mixed  environment , strong knowledge of RAD development tools
and OOP techniques; data modeling, data-aware applications development and
SQL. Ability to provide  creative solutions to hard problems. Experience
w/MySQL, MS SQL, or Informix; web development including DHTML, CSS, PHP,
JavaScript, VBScript, CGI or ASP; JAVA programming; debugging software
systems, writing program documentation. Duties: Non-Supervisory position to
analyze needs, document, write, test new apps; install, configure and
troubleshoot new and existing apps on a mult-platform, multi-site LAN/WAN.
Continuous learning, leading to continuous improvement in skill set and job
performance. Some on-call, after hours and/or weekend/holiday work may be

  Title: Senior Systems Analyst  Department: Information Technology  Type: Full
Time  Details: Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related field
or equivalent experience. Preferred: Masters degree.  Preferred Skills:
experience programming in a Unix/Windows mixed environment, strong knowledge
of standard and RAD development tools, editors, version control systems, OOP
techniques. JAVA, data modeling, data-aware applications development and
SQL. Ability to  determine if problems are caused by hardware, operating
systems sofware,  application programs, or network failures; a basic
understanding of network  concepts, security and encryption on the internet.
Experience with web development, DHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, VBScript, CGI
or ASP; experience debugging software systems and writing program
documentation. Duties: Supervisory position to analyze needs, document,
write, test new apps; install, configure and trouble shoot new and existing
apps on a multi-platform, multi-site LAN/WAN. Some on-call, after hours
and/or weekend/holiday work may be required. Applications accepted until
