Message-ID: I want to inform everyone that we will be having a SHACS meeting tonight at 5pm in AB1 206 as usual, but we will be discussing the CS Conference we want to put together during the spring semester. I encourage everyone to come -- faculty AND students! -- who may have some ideas or input for what we can do at the conference. I can't emphasize enough how important this Conference could be to us as an annual fund raiser and to get SHSU's name out there to high school students and faculty. If we have time, we may also discuss getting consoles, games and other odds & ends together for Gaming Night during our last meeting of the semester. :) -- Veronica Wilkerson -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... To expect a company that reports to shareholders to do otherwise is an error. The only entity that should be criticized is the patent office and the laws that support it. Before you go say, "well Google reports to shareholders and, [insert compliment]", realize that they do shady things as well, all within the law such as dodging taxes, within the law. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article6122329.ece disclaimer: Microsoft interests: I have a Microsoft mouse and Xbox360 Every other machine I own or lease runs some variant of *nix with no vm's or other such instances of MS products. --mike b shacs-request@shsu.edu wrote: > Send Shacs mailing list submissions to > shacs@shsu.edu > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/shacs > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > shacs-request@shsu.edu > > You can reach the person managing the list at > shacs-owner@shsu.edu > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Shacs digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Those systems have been serving at a new established multimedia lab. After a year of using, there are around 7 - 10 systems are down. The elementary school is asking for help to troubleshoot and replace with the good parts. We are looking for 2 more volunteers who would like to go to the elementary school and repair the machines for them. We sechdule to be there on Tuesday, 12/1, around 9:00 A.M. Please reply my email and let me know whether you can come to join us. I will be looking forward to hearing from you!
