Can of Worms: Questions about degrees and credentials

The problem with all of Daniel's questions is that "experience" is not defined or quantified.
 
If a therapist with a bachelor's degree is doing clinical work effectively, maintains continuing education for 
the BC credential,  and networks regularly with other professionals, I see no reason why that person should 
ever need an advanced degree.
 
I agree with the association position of requiring the masters for college teaching.  I think the idea of having 
a degree at least one step above those you teach is useful; however, in terms of actual ability to teach, one 
cannot assume that a person with a masters and three years clinical experience would be more qualified 
than a person with a bachelors and fifteen years experience.
 
It is an interesting debate, and I hope we will hear from others in MT-PRO.
