Greetings from the Pavarotti Music Centre, Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina,

Here at the PMC my colleague and I have set up the first music therapy unit
in B-H. I came out in April 1998 from the UK and have since been busy
introducing the discipline and running a full-time clinical timetable. Una
(my new colleague from Ireland) and I are now initiating a research project
into music therapy and trauma - what we have been observing in sessions and
the impact we think m th has on our clients. We work with children and young
people up to the mid-20s, through individual and small group work.

Here in Bosnia we are very short of resources, eg ways of going about our
research, background material on trauma, etc, so if anybody has anything
useful or names of contacts/books that they think would be useful to us
please would you help.

We will of course keep you up-to-date with our findings as they emerge.

With thanks.

Louise Lang and Una McInerney.
