MUSIC THERAPY DEPARTMENT, PAVAROTTI MUSIC CENTRE, BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA.

TWO FULL-TIME MUSIC THERAPISTS REQUIRED (minimum 2 years experience)

To commence beginning January 2001 and end March 2001 (1 year contract)

Salary from approx. 17066-30363 euros gross p.a. depending on experience.

Opened in April 1998 the department provides a comprehensive clinical
service mainly to children and young people in and around the Mostar area.
Work is also carried out at outreach locations. The therapists are based at
the Pavarotti Music Centre where there is a fully-equipped music therapy
wing including two therapy rooms. Local music therapy assistants are
employed who also act as translators. It is expected that the successful
candidates will endeavour to learn basic local language skills once in post.
The posts demand enthusiastic and flexible therapists who are prepared to
contribute to the regular training workshops which are an essential part of
the development of music therapy in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Regular external
supervision is provided.
Fluent English is an essential requirement. A clean driving licence would be
a distinct advantage as are basic computer skills (Word).

FULL-TIME VOLUNTEER MUSIC THERAPY POST AVAILABLE STARTING 13TH NOVEMBER 2000
Accomodation and subsistence allowance are provided as are outward and
return flights. This is a 6 month renewable post and if extended to one year
(by agreement between volunteer and Head of Department) will include one
holiday flight within the budget allowance. This position may suit a newly
qualified music therapist. Closing date for applications and details
