Does anyone have information about what research has shown to be a safe
volume level (in decibels) for listening to music when wearing headphones? I
will be administering pitch and rhythm discrimination tasks to children with
dyslexia and plan to have the children listening to the test items while
wearing headphones. I have to demonstrate to the Institutional Review Board
of my university that these tasks will be presented at a safe volume before
they approve my study. The board wants to know what has been deemed a safe
level for children within the age range of 7-9.

Thanks in advance for your help!
