Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to wish everyone Happy Holidays and Good Luck with finals.
The meeting today was small but we had alot of fun. A representative from
the Sam Houston Museum came to talk about the origins of the Winter Holidays
from the 1700's to present day. He talked about the tradition of the
christmas tree, holly, and Santa Clause.

He switched topics to the Texas Revolution midway through the meeting, and
he and I had a small discussion for a few minutes on how Davy Crockett died
at the Alamo. He also went into detail about why Davy Crockett came to
Texas to fight in the revolution, and the origins of Texas History after it
was made into a nation.

He also talked about what the museum has to offer and I will be scanning
some information for everyone to read online.

This was our last meeting for the semester. We will be doing alot of
interesting things for the Spring. Here are some of the topics.

January: Career Services for a Resume Seminar
February: Dr. Bernice Strauss
March: Counseling Center
April: Small Business Development Center to Discuss Funding
May: Dr. Gaertner (Hopefully)

Have a Safe Break and I look forward to seeing everyone back in the
Spring!!!

Andrea
