Hello Group,

We had a large response for this meeting, and everyone felt that the career
services presentation was informative and very helpful.

We talked about the basics of resume writing and "what to do" and "what not
to do" during a job interview. The representative from career services also
discussed the difference between a resume and a vita, and when to include
information (for example, if someone has an associates degree but is
completing a ph.d. then you would include the associates degree only when it
is helpful).

I will be posting the powerpoint slides on resume writing and notes from the
meeting soon. Our next meeting will be on February 22nd, with Dr. Bernice
Strauss as the guest speaker. She will be giving a motivational talk and
have the lastest information on study skills and the gre/gmat workshops
available.

See you at the get-together at Jose's Restaurant. I will make an
annoucement about this within the next week.
