-- HEY GUYS..
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, I HOPE EVERYONES FINALS WENT WELL.
I am forwarding you guys this information because this is very important
stuff this could potentially have a huge effect on us as non-traditional
students if we choose to be involved and make our needs known. A few
months ago Frank Parker asked that we hold a meeting with him and let him
know our top 10 needs. He wants to hear this from yall the members. This
information will help him help us. We have a meeting planned for January
22 with a guest speaker. I would like to see if we could meet with Dr.
Parker sometime the Week of the 14th. please email me with some days and
times that is good for people to make it and I will pick the best choice.
I want to do this before the planning meeting so we can have some input
there as well.
Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

Campus Master Plan Second Open House

JJR, campus planning specialists, will be returning to SHSU Tuesday,
January 22nd to gather additional input for the campus master plan from
anyone who was unable to make it to the November open houses. President
Gaertner and his Cabinet are again asking for the University community
to provide input that will help identify critical issues that the
planning consultants should consider. This will be the second
opportunity for students, faculty and staff to engage in the planning
process in the form of an open house. The session will be held on
Tuesday, January 22nd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Lowman Student
Center. During the informal event, participants will be asked to
identify issues regarding parking, vehicular and pedestrian circulation,
buildings and facilities, open space, and the surrounding community. The
input received will aid the consultant team in identifying issues
important to the University community.

Please drop by the open house as your schedule permits to get your
issues recorded and to visit with the consultant team.
