Greetings-

Okay, okay, I know there were two of us who, having heard of this, expressed some mild passing interest. So here are the details of a fine entertainment experience available this week over in the beautiful Brazos Valley.

I do some small bits in a production of "Driving Ms. Daisy" over at StageCenter in downtown Bryan on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 7:30, and Sunday afternoon at 2:00. I'll be supporting Carolyn Cobb, who's Daisy, and Harold Presley, who's Hoke, her chauffeur. Harold is the afternoon drive-time disk jockey on Mix 104.7, and Carolyn is my, umm, girlfriend, and the two of them are exceptional. And it's a wonderful script, funny in spots and very touching in others. I believe that the average audience member will not regret his or her attendance.

StageCenter is at 20th & Main in downtown Bryan. To get there from Huntsville, one heads out of town west on Hwy. 30 and resists the temptation to take any left or right turns until one reaches Main Street in downtown Bryan. Then one turns right, and finds the theater on the right side of the road a few blocks later.

Seriously. Get on Hwy. 30 and go straight. Don't turn left when Hwy. 30 does on the outskirts of College Station; keep going straight. When you get to downtown Bryan, Main St. is the first street past the railroad tracks. Total travel time: About 65 minutes.

Call 823-4297 to reserve tickets, which are $10 for students and $8 for students. Thursday night, tickets are two-for-one. Wowsers.

It'd be fun to see you there. Just don't tell me in advance if you're coming; that's too nerve-wracking!

Cheers,

Doc M.
