[Psychmasters] The library poll

Greetings--

About 24 hours into our quest for wisdom, I've already heard from 25 grad students and 13 faculty, and here are the results of my poll:

Those eager to embrace the power and majesty of full-text, online, 24/7 access to PsycARTICLES so that they can, no doubt, surf the contents of Psychology of Men and Masculinity while waiting to buy some arugula in the checkout lane at Kroger: 100%

Those wishing to remain mired in the mud of a bygone, weary, and dreary past because they've grown strangely fond of the graffiti scrawled on the wall above the only working copy machine in the NGL copy center: 0%

I'll type your responses into SPSS so that I can do a quick chi-square to determine for sure whether those proportions are statistically significantly different, but I'm sensing a trend. So, I'll call a pause to the poll. Thank you for your thoughtful assistance. Some of you did admit that you weren't sure exactly what this "library" thing was, but you nevertheless were attracted to the idea of doing literature searches from your hot tubs. So, I'll pass your sentiments on to our fine NGL staff.

Cheers,

Rody Miller
