[Psychmasters] 3 Minute Thesis Competition

Hi all!



GSPO is getting a group together to support those competing in Three Minute
Thesis (3MT)!



The preliminary rounds for 3MT are *Tuesday, February 28th from 6pm-8pm*.



What is 3MT?

3MT is a competition that allows graduates to share their thesis with a
panel of judges in layman terms. But you only have 3 minutes.



Why should you care?

Twelve people (out of 56) move on. Of those 12, three people advance based
on the audience's choice. The university is trying to promote 3MT since
this is the first year, thus, the more people you bring, the better chance
you have to win (grand prize is $1000). GSPO is getting a group together to
support those in Graduate Psychology Programs.



As of right now the only person we know of participating is *Cassie Bailey*.
She presents at 7:00pm in CHSS 110. Doors lock while people are presenting,
so please make sure you show up a little earlier than 7:00pm, or just come
at the beginning at 6:00pm! If anyone else from a psychology graduate
program is presenting, please let us know ASAP so we can get a group
together to cheer for you!



Warning: you have to stay until the end to vote, but you do not have to
come at the beginning.
