Students, Faculty, and other honored invitees,

Given the bad weather coming to the area, stemming from Hurricane Harvey, we are cancelling (postponing) tomorrow's social at Huntsville State Park.  We decided to error on the side of caution, knowing the weather could turn for the worse on short notice.  We also thought it would be better to make the decision now and save everyone the cost of food and the time preparing for the event.

I kindly ask that you spread the word about this to everyone who might be planning to attend, especially our counterparts in the terminal master's program.

We will announce the rescheduled date and time for the social after the Monday faculty meeting.

I hope everyone will take the time to prepare for the bad weather.
