The Fellowship is currently seeking applications to support five (5) students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or person of color (BIPOC) to submit unique and thought-provoking research proposals or creative projects related to mental health for the 2021 program cycle.

The Emerging Scholars Fellowship program aims to expand the body of literature, creative expression, and discourse devoted to mental health with a particular emphasis on health equity and anti-racism related to young adult mental health. From March to August 2021, the fellows will complete their projects, build a peer network, connect professionally with a national mentor and gain experience distributing their content to college audiences. To support their work, scholars will be awarded a $1,000 stipend and may also apply for an additional $250 in reimbursement for project material expenses. Projects must be completed, finalized, and submitted by Friday, August 13, 2021.

Project proposals will be accepted and reviewed until 10:00 PM EST on February 26, 2021. Preference will be given to early submissions. Please submit your proposal online at http://bit.ly/AMEmgScholar<https://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FAMEmgScholar&data=04%7C01%7Cmah001%40shsu.edu%7C79a4ff7689ba40f07e8608d8d76ecce5%7Cb153cbd8b39247449b39e3cdb8677f00%7C0%7C0%7C637496218172845716%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=NE6s5zmtEDICGrbqMpbiaLwVDR%2FY8B2wpSB%2BY6PUfXQ%3D&reserved=0>.
