Here are the minutes from Monday 
10/13's meeting:
The Huntsville Arts Festival is 
Saturday, October 25th. At the Sigma 
Tau Delta Booth we will host a Poetry 
Workshop from 10-11am with the maximum 
of 30 people audience. Afterwards we 
will sell concessions until 3pm. There 
will be a volunteer meeting next 
Monday, October 20th to discuss the 
responsibilities for those who 
volunteered. 
The first Short Story Club meeting 
will be 3:30pm Friday, October 17th at 
Kaldi's. The first short story that 
will be read will be James Joyce's 
short story The Dead. Come and enjoy 
coffee and discussion of literature 
with others. 
Remember that the deadline for the 
Sigma Tau Delta Regional Conference 
paper submissions are due October 
20th. You may go to english.org for 
additional information on the 
Southwest Conference.
A sample performance of Jason Carney, 
a Slam Poet will be in Huntsville 
October 29th was shown during the 
meeting and he is very intense and 
talented. Be sure to try and make it 
to his performance. 
That should pretty much cover our
