Members of Sigma Tau Delta:

On Thursday, October 26, the English Department will host a guest
lecture by distinguished scholar Larry Reynolds. Author of _European
Revolutions and the American Literary Renaissance_ (Yale UP 1988),
editor of the Norton Critical edition of Margaret Fuller's _Woman in the
Nineteenth Century_, and _A Historical Guide to Nathaniel Hawthorne_
(Oxford UP 2001), Professor Reynolds is Thomas Franklin Mayo Professor
of Liberal Arts at Texas A & M University. He is past president of the
Nathaniel Hawthorne Society and co-founder of the Margaret Fuller
society.

Professor Reynold's lecture is titled "Righteous Violence: Margaret
Fuller and the Civil War," and will take place in the Peabody Memorial
Library (immediately to the right of Austin Hall) at 7:30 p.m. A
reception will follow.
