Jessica,
I'm sorry to say you missed the deadline as it was Nov. 22. As I understand it, the award is based on the paper itself. You had to mail in six copies of the paper. However, you can submit them for publication in The Sigma Tau Delta Review beginning April 1, 2011.

I've presented at 4:
UNT-Dallas- Feb
URS-April
Mcnair-Sept
Texas Medieval Association-SMU- Sept

So, I will definitely be applying. Do you know how the award is chosen? Is it based on the paper? Just curious. Thanks.

Did you give a presentation at a conference (any conference) between Nov. 1, 2009 and Nov. 22, 2010? If you were an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of presentation, you can submit the paper for a $150 scholarly paper award from Sigma Tau Delta. Check out the information here: http://english.org/sigmatd/awards/pdf/awd_scholpapr.pdf
After looking at the instructions, I believe if you presented at the Undergraduate Research Symposium on our campus, it would count.

The time to begin writing an article is when you have finished it to your satisfaction. By that time you begin to clearly and logically perceive what it is that you really want to say.
