Good afternoon,

 Each year the Student Money Management Center holds Financial Literacy Week which aims to promote financial health at Sam Houston State University. This year's festivities will take place the week of February 24- 27, 2014 and will include a variety of workshops, seminars, and activities geared towards helping students command their financial futures. As an added incentive we are offering $1000, $750, and $500 prizes to SHSU organizations and a number of scholarships and awards to individual participants.

 Have members of your organization attend each event and increase the chances of winning funding for your organization. The criteria for winning will be based on the percentage of members in attendance and  the  total number of attendees at each event throughout the entire week. At every event, each member is allowed to bring up to 3 non-members to sign in on behalf of your organization.  An individual can be counted for up to 3 organizations per each event. The organization with the highest overall score wins! The schedule of events, contest rules, and organizational competition flyer are attached to this email. To be eligible for the contest you will also need to send a copy of your roster to smmc at shsu.edu<mailto:smmc at shsu.edu> by 5:00 PM on February 21st.

 Please let us know if you would like us to attend any of your upcoming meetings to discuss this opportunity. If so, please let us know your meeting date, time, location, number of members, and whether you would like us to speak at the beginning or the end of your meeting.
