The Writer’s Forum is a fun and respectful environment where creative writers can enjoy the constructive feedback of their peers, polish their editing skills, and enjoy like-minded company. Bring multiple copies of up to 10 double spaced pages of your own creative work—all genres and mediums are welcome. Hispanic Heritage Month
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Texas Poet Laureate Carmen Tafolla joins us at The Woodlands Center on Wednesday October 7, 6:00pm and on Main Campus on Thursday Oct 8, 11:00 in Academic Building IV Room 220
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the SHSU Department of History<http://www.shsu.edu/academics/history/> is teaming up with the Department of English<http://www.shsu.edu/%7Eeng_www/> and theCollege of Humanities and Social Sciences<http://www.shsu.edu/academics/humanities-and-social-sciences/> dean’s office to bring State of Texas poet laureate Carmen Tafolla to campus, to share a number of her poems and motivational messages.

Summer Program and Study Abroad Scholarship (fall round) applications will be accepted September 7 - November 9, 2015.

All other scholarship applications will be accepted February 1 - March 21, 2016.
