Good morning writers!

Normally I wait until after the Writing Circle has met up to send out the newsletter but some of these announcements are time sensitive, so I thought “hey, the sooner the better!” Also, I’ve taken the liberty of also sending this out to the members of Sigma Tau Delta because some of the news is especially relevant to them in. If anyone from Sigma Tau Delta finds this newsletter useful and would like to continue to receive Writer’s Circle updates please shoot me an email and I’ll add you to the mailing list.

I cannot wait to see you all tonight and hear what you’ve written. Our sessions these last few weeks have been nothing short of amazing, both in terms of the work presented and the quality of the feedback.

Keep writing!
Julian Kindred

Introducing the Monthly Write-In!
No fancy hyperlink for this announcement but it doesn’t need it! Henceforth, on the third Saturday of the month, the Evans complex shall belong to the writers! Or at least a room of it will. Every third Saturday writers will meet up at 10:00 for the express purpose of writing and we will wrap up around 1:00. Spread the word.
October 17, Evans 358, 10:00-1:00—Come to write!

Texas Poet Laureate comes to Sam Houston State University…TOMORROW!
Thursday morning (that’s tomorrow morning!) our very own Texas Poet Laureate, Dr. Carmen Tafolla will be visiting SHSU to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Please stop by Evans 212 at 9:00 for free food and better conversation. This is a great opportunity!
