Hey folks, Diane, Jeanine, and I have been communicating by email since last night and have made a decision today to go ahead and have the meeting (2:30-4pm) today by Zoom.  If you have not registered yet, you will need to do so; I have posted the Zoom link below from the Academic Affairs Weekly email this morning.  I hope everyone has faired at least relatively well--I understand that those in Conroe and the Woodlands experienced much worse than those of us in Huntsville.

Jeanine Bias, Interim Chief Diversity Officer and Director, Office of Institutional Diversity & Inclusion, will discuss Texas House Bill 3979 recently signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott, which puts limits on how Texas teachers can address racism and sexism. She will present the info SHSU sought from legal counsel and how the university plans to respond to complaints from students and others about faculty actions.
