Graduate Undergraduate Instructor Academy (GUIA)

When: Jan. 12
Where: LSC Orange Ballroom

GUIA is a student learning conference that offers sessions between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The theme is 'Sowing the Seeds of Success'. In addition to providing student instructors/instructional assistants with the tools necessary to be successful in their classrooms, the sessions will also focus on relaying pertinent skills to their students and clients. Participants can earn hours/credits toward the new SHSU Human Resource (HR) 4-hour professional development requirement, Teaching Assistant Certification (TACS/UTACS), SHSU Online GUIA Certification, and Centered on Servingness Certification.
