[Psychmasters] Texas Assessment Conference

Hello everyone,

A colleague of ours at Texas Tech University (Paul Ingram) is proposing the establishment of a Texas Assessment Conference (TAC).

TAC is focused on three goals: (1) increasing coordination between Texas university programs in psychology emphasizing psychological assessment, (2) improved within-state recruitment of competitive applicants for these programs as masters/doctoral graduate students and research assistants, and (3) leveraging the unusually high level of assessment expertise and international recognition within these programs to promote visibility regionally and outside of the state.

Dr. Ingram’s proposal is gaining support and funding, and he has asked me to write a letter affirming support for the TAC endeavor. I have written a letter of support (see attached), and I would like to invite those of you interested in also showing your support to let me know so that I may add your name to the letter. [No further commitment in needed, this is simply a letter Dr. Ingram can share with Texas Tech administration to show that there is interest and support from faculty at other Texas universities.]
